Dawson falls walk

Our family went up the mountain today. We went on a walk to Dawson falls. It was very fun. We got some water out of the river and drank the water. It was the best water I have ever tasted!!! We then had lunch at the cafe and then went to the visitor centre. We also went and saw the Dawson falls power station that was awesome!!! It was a fantastic day!!!!

Weetbix Tryathlon

On the 2nd of April it was the weetbix tryathlon and all of the schools were there. It was at Ngamotu beach in New Plymouth. I did it in a team with my friend Kaydee, this is us with our medals after we finished.

Kaponga athletics.

On Thursday our whole school went to Kaponga athletics day for running and we do it every year.

My first run I was a little bit nervous so I went to Mum and said I'm a little bit nervous she said you'll be right. Then she got me some lollies and a drink.

Time for my race Mum said, so I went to line up and started walking to the tent and getting ready for my race. I was still a little bit nervous so Mum said that you can do it Katelyn. While we were waiting to go Miss Davidson done same warming up with us.

Finally it was race time so we went to line up and get ready for the race.  Off went the gun bang we started and I was coming first but someone passed me I said to my self dam I was nearly finished. I said I can't stop now I have to go to the finish line I still came 2nd, I was very happy.
